Team YP Adds New Team: Overwatch

Los Angeles, CA, Aug 11, 2016 – Team YP is thrilled to announce the expansion into Overwatch with the addition of a new team to their roster. Team YP welcomes some returning members from their Evolve team that took 1st place at the ESL Evolve Major League in 2015! With new additions, their roster is going to continue to be a force to be reckoned with.

Team YP European team consists of:
Chairil “Nightwane” Djoehana (Captain) – France
Ronny “Roon” Feuz – Switzerland
David “Spanners” Morley – England
Ben “Meadzz” Mead – United Kingdom
Thor Christer Halvorsen “Toorq” Eikeland – Norway
Sarmad “JagAren” Jirjes – Sweden

With the launch of Overwatch at the end of May, the transition from Evolve seemed like a natural progression of their FPS career. Returning team Captain Nightwane, along with returning team mates Roon and Spanners set out to build the ultimate Overwatch roster. “The switch to a bigger scene like Overwatch was logical and will present us with new opportunities and challenges,” said team Captain Chairil Djoehana.

The newest additions to the team are former Rainbow 6: Siege players Meadzz and JagAren whom they competed against in the top 10 of R6. The final player to join the team was Toorq whom they recruited in Overwatch. He has been around the scene a while and has competed in League of Legends, CS:GO, Rocket League and many more.

Although the team is newly formed and currently in training mode, they are quickly catching up to the closed beta teams. “We hope that with Team YP’s support we will be able to focus on practice in order to climb the competitive ladder,” said Chairil Djoehana.

“Overwatch has taken the internet by storm,” said Brad Burns, Vice President, Team YP, “We couldn’t be more thrilled by the addition of this game to our ever growing roster.”
